Just when 2006 and I were getting to know each other...

Poof! It's gone!
So to make it a proper farewell... let me reflect on the important moments of the past year (according to my paperback blog):

It started off magically... he was the prince, but she doesn't remember much, not due to the easily-justifiable intoxication, but the loud, incessant buzzing in her head that shattered already fragile short term memory to pieces. She was the HAPPIEST girl in the world and his name was Nestle Google.

Then the Spring Break came around. Equipo Valentina was a last-minute group [of immigrants] put together for a road trip around the NE US... and the best road trip of my life!!! The destinations included: Niagara Falls, Boston, Salem, Garden State, NYC, Washington, Philadelphia and everything in between... good times!

The Summer was marked by the relaxing nights of jazz, poetry, and wine at RMT and The Artist... aaahhh I was always a sucker for those! He lasted as long as his gypsy jazz melody...

On the 4th of July I got hired at the new school. Go Colts!

On Aug 15 I had a dream about The Friend. That wasn't ackward at all... only I felt like someone blended 100 extra hot jalapenos and glazed the inside of my esophagus every time my phone rang after that...

Sept 21 - I bought a house! / Oct 6 - Moved in!

On Nov 22 yet another road trip with Equipo Valentina, only expanded to 5 countries, a total of 10 thanksgiving-non-celebrating people, with Mexicans beating us (us = other) 7:3. This time we visited the Windy City and within 24 hours my note-to-self read: MOVE TO CHICAGO ASAP!

Last event of the year (not counting THE party) is tomorrow...
